Life was hard. Be at peace now. God bless. Things are OK.

Growing up, a name that was always present when my Father was speaking about the old days, was Paturzo. Dad loved reminiscing about the days where they would play ball, worked on different cars and "ran the neighborhood" which always put a smile on my face. I am glad to say I was able to make some of my own memories with Jimmy when we would go to watch his and Dad's beloved Mets. Some how some way, Jimmy always found a way to get Subway Series tickets and always invited Dad and I. It saddens me that we have lost Jimmy, but I am sure Dad was able to meet him and they are "running" their new neighborhood together.

Our condolences to Jimmy's family but they can never suffice in times like this. We lost my two brothers Glenn and George this year along with an old and dear friend of forty years. A very difficult year and now we've lost Jimmy....fondly known simply as Paturzo. Jimmy and my brother Glenn were best buddies growing up since forever back in the Amsterdam Projects where we all grew up. They were always working on cars and other nefarious and suspicious activities and as big brother I'd always have to look into what they were doing. Jimmy always had that huge smile when I saw him and I guess that was supposed to disarm me....and I guess it worked. My memories of him go back almost 50 years and I'm sure he and my brother Glenn will be working on somebody's car or something. May God's strength and grace be with his family.

Jimmy had a way of putting a smile on a person's face immediately. He had a great sense of humor that will never he forgotten. The Paturzo family altogether form a very strong part of my childhood memories of growing up on the City. He will be missed.
