Maria Teresa Raicovich (Nosenzo) April 4 th 1934 – April 11 th 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mariuccia, our dear mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many on April 11 th 2023.
Mariuccia had a difficult year struggling with various health issues. However, we are grateful
that her passing was a peaceful one and that her children were both by her side.
She was the beloved mother of Gianfranco (Connie) and Lisa (Greg), proud grandmother of
Julianna, Pedro, Luca, Cole and Olivia and thrilled to be the great-grandmother of Crews, Romy
and Austin.
Predeceased by her loving husband Remo, and brother Giancarlo.
Mariuccia lived a full life as a busy working Mom. She spent most of her life in the Restaurant
business as an owner of Capriccio Restaurant in New York City until the mid 1990’s and later on
a beloved employee at Piccola Venezia Restaurant, where she worked until the age of 86!
She loved going to the Opera, her favorite singer being Luciano Pavarotti. She was an extremely
talented floral designer and made beautiful arrangements for both her restaurant and Piccola
Venezia. Looking her best was very important to Mariuccia. You would never see her without a
fresh manicure. You could find her at the Beauty Parlor on a weekly basis…of course, she was
always dressed to impress, and impress she did!
But always, the most important thing to Mariuccia was family and her dear friends who became
her family. She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Church (43-19 30 th Ave, Astoria NY 11103) on
Saturday, 17 th June 2023 at 10:00am.
