To The Freeman Family,Pat was a beautiful person. May she fly with the Angels and be free of pain. I knew Pat for years from St Joseph's and the Rosary society she was always smiling and a caring person. She will truly be missed. I could not make her wake but stood outside my house when her procession went by. I said a prayer and cried and made the sign of the cross. She will now be reunited with all her loved ones and have eternal peace. RIP.

To Patricia Freeman, Our fellow Parishioner, Lector and Friend in Christ:On behalf of the Lectors, (English and Spanish) “We” are all united not only in our desire to pay our respects to Pat but rather in our collective and individual need to do so. For such was her extraordinary appeal that many of the parishioners here at St. Joseph’s about to take part in this service all over our community and who never actually met her, feel that they too lost someone close to them last week. It is a more remarkable tribute to Patricia than I can ever hope to offer her as a person.Pat was the very essence of compassion, duty, style, beauty. Throughout our Parish, she was a symbol of selfless humanity. Despite agreements and disagreements, she was a standard bearer for the rights of those in our community who were downtrodden, a very American and Irish woman who transcended nationality. Someone with a natural nobility who was classless and who proved time and time again that she needed no “Catholic” title to continue to generate her brand of magic.Today and tomorrow going forward, is our chance to say thank you to Pat for the way she brightened our lives, even though God granted her but half a life. We will all feel cheated always that she was taken from us so unexpectedly, and yet we must learn to be grateful that she came along at all. Only now that she is gone do we truly appreciate what we are now without and we want her and her family to know that life without her will be very, very difficult. We are all despaired at this loss over the past week and only the strength of the message she gave each of us collectively and individually, through her years of giving will hopefully afford us the strength to move forward in her memory through Christ, Our Lord.LaRoi Lawton | Lector Coordinator | St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church

To The Freeman Family: Pat's death is a complete shock to me. I am a Lector at St. Joseph's because of Pat. She encouraged me, mentored me and helped me stay the course these past 12 years. My wife, Ana and I are deeply saddened by this loss and will keep Pat and your entire family in our prayers as you grieve.Godspeed,LaRoi and Ana Isabel
